About Us

The Campaign

“The Bus & Coach. The Smart Move.” Campaign is brought to you by the Motorcoach Council, Inc. www.MotorcoachCouncil.org

The Motorcoach Council is a philanthropic, not-for-profit, public interest organization dedicated to educating potential riders about the availability, selection, and benefits of motorcoach transportation, and to ultimately increase ridership across North America.

Mission

It is the goal of the Motorcoach Council to educate and inform travelers that motorcoaches are safe, reliable, affordable, convenient, comfortable, and easy to charter.

Motorcoaches are a transportation mode designed to move groups of all shapes, sizes, age, race, and income. They are a community-centric solution to many of the challenges we face as a nation.

Motorcoaches provide cost-effective mobility to millions of Americans at virtually no cost to taxpayers.  While other transportation sectors receive billions in annual federal subsidies, motorcoaches account for a mere 6 cents in federal subsidies per passenger trip. Reliable data show that public transit costs 77 cents per passenger trip, commercial air carriers cost $4.32 per passenger trip, and Amtrak costs $46.06 in taxpayer subsidies per passenger trip (additional data available at www.buses.org).

Without burdening the taxpayer, motorcoaches take cars off the road, reduce surface congestion on our highways, reduce emissions more than any other mode of transportation, and reduce the greenhouse effect on our planet, as well as the carbon footprint of its inhabitants.

And don’t forget…traveling by coach is a memorable and exciting experience that enables friends, families and even total strangers to sit back, relax and share a ride.

Go ahead and try a motorcoach today!
